Q: What can I do to make the thumbnails button show on the toolbar so when readers click the thumbnails button, they can use the thumbnails to jump to specific page?


A:

While converting your PDF file into HTML5 page flipping book, PUB HTML5 will automatically generate thumbnails of each PDF page. With the generated thumbnails, readers can navigate through the whole publication. And all you need to do is enable and show the thumbnail button on the toolbar.

 

1 Login

After you start PUB HTML5, click "Online" on the top menu and select Login in the drop-down list. And in the pop-up dialog box, login with your account. If you are new to PUB HTML5, you should create a new account with your valid email.

2 Import PDF

After login, click "Import File" to select and import a PDF file for conversion.

3 Show Thumbnails Button

And in the Design window, click Custom Settings tab and select Advanced Mode. Next you will need to click Tool Bar Settings to expand the sub-settings, and once you expand Config setting, you will find Thumbnails Button item. Select "Show" to enable the Thumbnails button and you can customize color and background alpha for the thumbnails. Besides, you can change the icon of the Thumbnail Button. Then click "Apply Change" to save the settings.

4 Publish Flipbook to View Thumbnails

Click "Publish to Local" or "Upload Online" to publish the flipbook. And once your readers click the Thumbnails button on the toolbar, they can open the Thumbnails panel and click the thumbnails to jump page.
